CALI 

Santiago de Cali, simply referred to as Cali, is a city in south western Colombia and the capital of the Valle del Cauca Department. With a population of 2,068,386, Cali is the third largest city in the country. It is a magnet and a catalyst inside Colombia due to its industrial and commercial development, and has one of the fastest growing economies and infrastructures in the country, because of its geographical location near the Pacific coast. CARTAGENA

 

A world heritage site, Cartagena de Indias is a city where history is palpable in its walls, its Spanish colonial architecture and impressive military and religious monuments that harmoniously combine with broad beaches, exotic islands nearby and the pleasure of an encounter in bars, cafes, restaurants or discos.

SANTA MARTA

A city and municipality located in northern Colombia by the Caribbean sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains.  Capital of the Magdalena Department, the city is an important maritime port and hub for tourism, history and culture.

It was founded on July 29, 1525 by a Spanish conqueror called Rodrigo de Bastidas, accompanied by some two hundred of his men and a few Amerindians, who named the city after the Catholic day for Saint Martha, which in Spain was celebrated with festivities.

SAN ANDRES ISLAND

An immensley beautiful coral island amongst a small group of Colombian islands in the south-western zone of the Caribbean Sea.  It is the largest island of this southern group of islands. Together with the nearby island of Providencia and some smaller sister islands of this southern group of the Colombian archipelago, San Andrés forms the department of San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina.  The island's location in South America has been aptly described as "Geographically near Nicaragua, past historically tied to England and politically part of Colombia."  Read more...
